Your notes, your device, your control

notesonline.org is built to respect your privacy. Notes live in your browser unless you choose to export them. We don’t run accounts, we don’t sync your content to servers, and paste/import is sanitized to keep scripts out of your notebook.

Data storage

Your notes are stored locally in your browser (localStorage).
No accounts or cloud sync—your words stay on your device unless you export.
Exports (TXT/MD/HTML) happen only when you click download or export all.

Security & sanitization

Pasted/imported HTML is sanitized to strip scripts and event handlers before saving.
Autosave runs locally; nothing is transmitted to remote services.
Your browser’s security model applies—keep your device and browser up to date.

Your choices

Export any time to keep your own backups or move notes elsewhere.
Delete notes directly in the app; they’re removed from localStorage.
