- Search everywhere: Palette search scans titles and content previews.
- Keep key tabs open: Pin reference notes; close tabs you’re done with using Ctrl+W.
- Quick sort: Use the palette to run actions like “Export All” or “New Note.”
Format as you type
Stay on keys while applying structure. Rich-text shortcuts align with familiar editors:
- Bold/Italic/Underline: Ctrl+B / Ctrl+I / Ctrl+U
- Headings: Use toolbar or palette actions to apply H1/H2 quickly.
- Lists & quotes: Toggle bullets/numbers and blockquotes while staying in the editor.
Stay focused, then export clean
Toggle Focus (Ctrl+Shift+F) and Fullscreen (F11) to block distractions. When you’re ready to ship, export to Markdown or HTML in one move.
Tip: Use the status bar for words/chars to hit briefs without leaving the keyboard.
Hand-off without touching the mouse
- Ctrl+S for a quick TXT copy; use the Export menu (open via palette) for MD/HTML.
- Print with Ctrl+P if you need a hard copy—only the note content is printed.
- Keep backups with Export All (MD) before device changes.
Open NotesOnline, hit Ctrl+Alt+N to start a draft, and ship it with Ctrl+S—no mouse needed.
